Network of devices that includes the hardware, software, firmware, and actuators necessary for the devices to connect, communicate, and effectively share data through the Internet. The Internet of Things (IoT) attempts to connect “things,” such as machinery and items, to the Internet and, ultimately, to one another. IoT applications enable companies to avoid unplanned downtime, increase operating efficiency, spawn new products and services, and enhance risk management. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a growing role in IoT applications and deployments. IoT Safety and Security are important topics to ensure the operation of these smart applications. In addition, AI applications in this field must also be focused on increasing the efficiency of technology solutions. By promoting novel, high-quality research findings and innovative solutions to challenging data science problems, the conference seeks to advance the state-of-the-art in IoT Safety and Security. Applications of these technologies in fields such as smart manufacturing, smart health, supply chain management, etc., will also be of interest at this conference. In particular, the industry 5.0 topic will be discussed through the keynote speaker’s presentation. As the fourth industrial revolution has passed an early stage of development, many companies are developing intelligent systems and cutting-edge innovations of Industry 4.0 to improve productivity and quality. Meanwhile, the next phase of industrialization has been introduced, known as Industry 5.0. One of the most prominent features of Industry 5.0 is that it places the well-being of humans at the center of the manufacturing process. Advanced technologies were also created to keep up with the trend of the fifth industrial revolution. AI algorithms have proven to play a key role in Industry 4.0. Moving to Industry 5.0, with the human-centric orientation, AI was developed in combination with human intelligence (HI), leading to the new concept of Augmented Intelligence (AuI). AI and AuI algorithms are expected to bring significant benefits in Industry 5.0. The difficulties, challenges, and perspectives for IoT Safety and Security in Industry 5.0 will be discussed in this conference.

All registered papers will be submitted for publishing by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library: SaSeIoT Conference Proceedings.

Proceedings will be submitted for inclusion in leading indexing services, such as Web of Science, Compendex, Scopus, DBLP, EU Digital Library, Google Scholar, IO-Port, MathSciNet, Inspec, and Zentralblatt MATH.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version to:

or Springer Wireless Networks (WINET) Journal (IF: XX)

All accepted authors are eligible to submit an extended version in a fast track of:

EAI Endorsed Transactions on Security and Safety

Additional publication opportunities:

EAI is an open community dedicated to creating an environment where every member receives the same opportunities, benefits and opportunities to develop and grow their research mission and career. As the largest free professional research society in the world EAI offers a complete range of conference proceedings publication opportunities. Based on the qualification of the conference and the conference scope EAI provides the possibility to publish the proceedings for every sponsored conference. Consistent with its mission to support developing communities all EAI sponsored conferences appear in EUDL, the European Union Digital Library (EUDL). EUDL is Open Access and free for EAI members reaching a community of 250,000 subscribers and providing the visibility that allows the conference organizers to develop the conference into a fully fledged indexed proceedings publication in subsequent years.

How to Submit a Paper in Confy:
  1. Go to Confy+ website.
  2. Log in or sign up as a new user.
  3. Select your desired track.
  4. Click the ‘Submit Paper’ link within the track and follow the instructions.

Alternatively, go to the Confy+ homepage and click on “Open Conferences.”

Submission Guidelines:

  • All papers must be submitted in English.
  • Previously published work cannot be submitted, nor can it be concurrently submitted to any other conference or journal. These papers will be rejected without review.
  • Papers must follow the Springer formatting guidelines (available in the Author’s Kit section).
  • Authors must read and agree to the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
  • As per new EU accessibility requirements, going forward, all figures, illustrations, tables, and images should have descriptive text accompanying them. Please refer to the document below, which will assist you in crafting Alternative Text (Alt Text)

HOW TO WRITE GOOD ALT TEXT

Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).

  • Regular papers should be up to 12-15+ pages in length.
  • Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.

All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.

Papers must be formatted using the Springer EAISICC Authors’ Kit.

Instructions and templates are available from Springer’s EAISICC homepage:

Please make sure that your paper adheres to the format as specified in the instructions and templates.

When uploading the camera-ready copy of your paper, please be sure to upload both:

  • a PDF copy of your paper formatted according to the above templates, and
  • an archive file (e.g. zip, tar.gz) containing the both a PDF copy of your paper and LaTeX or Word source material prepared according to the above guidelines.
